    1992 Jaguar XJ220
    LOT: 104
    Estimate:
    $175,000-$225,000 US
    Chassis No. SAJJEAEX8AX220732
AUCTION RESULTS: Lot was Sold at a price of $181,500

Formerly the Property of Heinz Harold Frentzen

    542bhp, 3,498 cc 24-valve twin turbo V6 with five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel
independent suspension, four-wheel vented disc brakes. Wheelbase: 103.9"

The XJ220 offered here is finished in Le Mans blue with grey interior and it is understood the car has been meticulously maintained and remains in excellent condition throughout. The car has an odometer reading of 6,250 miles, making it a very rare low mileage example. The vendor informs us that this car was originally the property of Heinz Harold Frentzen, former Formula One driver for Sauber, Williams and Jordan grand prix teams.

We are also informed by the vendor that the engine has been fully serviced, and the brakes have had a master cylinder upgrade with new rotors and high performance pads. It was deemed necessary to have the brakes upgraded if the owner was to ever seriously test the limits of this car. The brakes being refitted outlines that this car was bought originally with the emphasis on the performance, and the owner was dedicated to being able to push this car to its limits. This car has also had all the water-cooling hoses replaced, as well as having new valve cover gaskets and a new bronze centered clutch fitted. This is an important addition to this car as the original clutch installed was too weak to hold up too the tremendous power that these cars have at their disposal.

This car must be seen, heard and driven to fully appreciate what a masterpiece in engineering design it is. It truly brought Jaguar to the forefront in both motor racing and the automobile media, and was to again establish Jaguar as being at the pinnacle of the automotive world, where it could rival such performance manufacturers as Ferrari and Lamborghini. The XJ220 enlightened the enthusiasts and again propelled the Jaguar Motor Car Company into the hearts and dreams of the motoring public. We are honored to be able to offer such a splendid example of this car at this sale, and are assured that this car will bring miles upon miles of truly unmatched, exhilarating memories to its new owner.

Addendum PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CAR IS STREET LEGAL AND THAT THE TITLE IS IN TRANSIT.
