    Features

A very special Jaguar XJ220 S, one of only five built and the only one we know to be titled, registered and road legal in California. With the exception of the original aluminum doors, this TWR’s S version is bodied in high–quality carbon fiber. A front splitter, wider rocker panels and an adjustable rear wing are also fitted. 680 bhp twin–turbo V–6. Jaguar Sport racing brakes as used on the XJR 15. The XJ220 S can leap to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds and reach 228 mph. Finished in “Outrageous Orange” with black trim and a gray leather interior with Willans racing seat belts. Has only 2,413 km (1,496 miles) and is complete with all EPA, DOT and California compliance paperwork. The–best–of–the–breed.

    History

S/n 220779. XJ220 Jag. One of only five S models built of 278 XJ220s built between 1992 and 1994. Production started in June, 1992 and finished in April, 1994. The VINs started at 220900 and decreased to 220617. Five vehicles were not assembled giving a production total of 278 vehicles, including the 5 XJ220 Ss.

    The five XJ220 Ss are: 220803, 220802, 220793, 220784 and 220779.

1998, 25 Feb., purchased new from TWR by Philippe Olczyk. Displayed on consignment at N.A. Carriage Co., Chadwell Heath, Romford, Essex, UK.

1999, November, purchased from Philippe Olczyk by Michael Sheehan, European Auto Sales, Costa Mesa, CA., USA for Vik Keuylian, Keuylian Motors, Beverly Hills, CA., USA.

1999, November, purchased by current owner from Keuylian Motors.

2007 February, on consignment with Michael Sheehan’s Ferraris-online.com."

It mentions above, this as being one of the 5 220S cars.I thought the 220S cars were all ex fast masters cars. This car was not a fast masters car and was not allocated to the Race program, according to my records like the others were. The other 4 220S cars were all ex fastmasters.Chassis 801 was fast masters and allocated to the race program and looks very similar to an S but was "not" a genuine S according to many other sources in the US and popular opinion.
I dont suppose anyone here has definate evidence as to which ones are the original S cars.

Car to be at auction 11/22

    rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/lf22/london/lots/r0031-1993-jaguar-xj220-s/1301187

London Marlborough House, 5 November 2022

    Sold £933,125 GBP

    1993 Jaguar XJ220 S

Offered from The Gran Turismo Collection

    Chassis No. SAJJEAEX8AX220779

One of five examples built to homologate Jaguar’s landmark supercar for racing at Le Mans

Incredible specification including full carbon fibre bodywork apart from the alloy doors

    Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre V-6 engine producing a staggering 680 horsepower

Odometer reads just 4,822 kilometres at time of cataloguing

Previously registered in the USA and the sole example to be produced in Orange

Chassis 220779 was completed on 21 April 1993, and is believed to have been retained by TWR until being sold to a Belgian collector in February 1998. In November 1999, the Jaguar was exported to the United States, passing to Keuylian Motors via Michael Sheehan’s European Auto Sales. It was sold again that same month, and remained with its new owner until 2007, when the car found a new home via Sheehan’s Ferraris-Online. It stayed in California until 2012, when it was purchased by well-known collector Jasbir Dhillon, joining a stable that included a Jaguar XJR-15. During his tenure, the car was displayed at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering in 2015. Dhillon kept the homologation special until 2018, when it was bought by the consignor and became part of The Gran Turismo Collection. Today, this LHD homologation special has only 4,822 kilometres on its odometer.

The Jaguar XJ220 S is quite simply one of the most striking and elusive supercars of its generation, a rarity endowed with the performance and jaw-dropping styling to rival even the wildest modern machinery. With only 5 examples ever produced, it seems unlikely that another will be available for public sale soon.
